I purchased this book for my brother's seven and twelve-year-old sons. It was quite popular! Since last summer, their father has been away on active duty, and he has been terribly missed. They learned through reading the Military Child Edition book that the other children experience similar sacrifices. The book is really simple to read, and the rhyme gives an upbeat subtext. Beautiful illustrations are used. This book fills a void that exists in many homes of our service members. We appreciate the author's time and effort in providing this much-needed resource for our military families
